🚶🏻 Quarterly Hike: Stanislaus River Trail from Knights Ferry
We'll explore this 2.8-mile (round trip) trail near Oakdale. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1h to complete, plus a break for lunch.
This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.
This route begins at Knights Ferry Recreation area and continues onto public land. There are beautiful views of the Stanislaus River from this trail and from many optional side trails that take you to overlooks near the river.
Our hikes take place quarterly, on the third Saturday of February, May, August, and November. NOTE: May's event is on a different day (May 18).
