Stoic Men's Group
Details
This group is for men who want to deepen their Stoic practice and cultivate genuine strength of character. We’ll start by listening to short passages from the original Stoic texts, reflect on them together, and connect those ideas to real life, relationships, work, and the choices we face every day.
This week, we’ll listen to parts 6–9 of On the Firmness of the Wise Man, where Seneca presses his argument further: not only can the wise man remain unharmed, but even the most extreme forms of loss, injustice, or violence fail to touch what truly belongs to him. Seneca explores the idea that injury may be attempted without ever being received, and that the wise man stands firm not by denial of suffering, but by placing his good entirely beyond the reach of fortune.
Come ready to think, talk, and take something useful back to your life.
