
About us
Stoicism 101 is an introduction to Stoic philosophy as a practical way of life. This group follows a 12-part course designed to teach the core ideas of Stoicism step by step, from basic principles to deeper practices for everyday living.
We meet three times per week, and each meeting covers the next chapter in the 12-part sequence. Attend once a week and you’ll complete the full course in 12 weeks (and faster if you come more often). Each session includes a video lesson, small-group discussion, and a Q&A focused on applying Stoic ideas to daily life.
This group is connected to our main community, the Stoic Philosophy Practice Group, which has hosted over 500 events and brings together a large, active group of people interested in Stoicism as a philosophy of life.

Join us for an evening of Stoic philosophy and discussion. We'll kick off the event with a short presentation exploring one of the core ideas of Stoicism, focusing on its real-world application with some practices drawn from the texts. Following the presentation, we'll break into smaller groups for a lightly-facilitated discussion about the topic.
This week, we’ll be discussing the Happy Life, Stoic joy, and how our pursuit of virtue should also make us the happiest people.
