I started this group because I wanted to connect with other people who find as much joy in wandering a creek bed or a gravel pit as I do. Whether you have a collection that is starting to take over your living room or you have just picked up a few interesting stones and are curious about what they are, you are welcome here. This is a low-pressure space to share finds, trade stories, and enjoy the simple hobby of rockhounding.
Beyond just talking about rocks, the goal of these meetups is to actually get our hands busy. We will host regular workshop socials where we can work on identification, cleaning, tumbling, and basic display techniques together. It is really just an excuse to get off our screens, learn a few new skills, and spend time with folks who appreciate the stories written in stone. I look forward to meeting you and seeing what you have found lately.
