🔥 What this workout is
Seattle Spartan Saturdays is an OCR-inspired outdoor group workout focused on building strength, endurance, grit, and community.

Our Green Lake workouts combine an outdoor strength station with run/walk intervals around the lake. Each session is designed to help you become stronger, leaner, more athletic, and better conditioned—whether or not you’re preparing for a Spartan Race.

👥 Who it’s for
Whether you’re training for a Spartan Race, looking to become more athletic, getting back into fitness, or simply wanting to train alongside motivated people, you’re welcome here.
All fitness levels are welcome. Exercises and running intervals can be modified to match your current ability.

🗓️ Typical Flow
• Welcome and introductions
• Dynamic warm-up
• Outdoor strength station featuring push-ups, mobility, corrective exercises, and other bodyweight movements
• Approximately 40 minutes of run/walk intervals around Green Lake
• Cooldown, mobility, and optional group photo

A rotating weighted vest will be available for anyone wanting an additional challenge. Depending on equipment availability, the strength station may also include dips, pull-up bar work, burpees, or other functional exercises.

🎒 What to bring
• Workout clothes
• Running or training shoes
• Water bottle
• Exercise or yoga mat (recommended)

🍌 Before the workout: Consider eating a familiar, carbohydrate-rich snack—such as a banana—about an hour beforehand, and arrive well hydrated. Avoid a heavy meal immediately before training.
