Stretch of the Imagination is an art club that treats creativity like a muscle! We design fun art exercises and host free Artwork Out Sessions where you can try our unique drawing prompts alongside other makers, tone your creative muscles, doodle to unwind, and learn more about the NYC stories connected to each exercise. You show up, grab a template, and draw whatever you want! Stay afterward to hang out or take us through your sketchbook doodles. We love a show and tell!

We welcome anyone who wants a fun, social, low‑pressure way to reconnect with creativity, including beginners who don't know where to start, dabblers that might not have flexed their creativity in a while, or seasoned artists who want to try a new drawing challenge. Our meet ups are intentionally small to make it easier for people to connect with one another and be able to visit special public spaces across NYC that match the theme of each art exercise.
