About us
Welcome to Strictly Shoujo! We were originally essentially a club that mainly delved on, but not limited to, anime and manga for girls. However, due to popular demand, Sakura is resurrecting the Wildlife Conservation events that her group is well known for.
According to Sakura's original definition, shoujo means "cute girly girls doing cute girly things", but she will not remove otomen out of the picture. In fact, they are very welcome to join us! Together we will analyze shoujo genre and explore what we love about it. We might bake cookies, make our own cosplay or fashion clothing, make Valentine's Day chocolates, sew stuffed animals, make jewelry, dress up, be glamorous, go to anime conventions, draw manga, play a bit of doubutsu shogi, or shop at some handicraft markets, but last but not least, gossip about anime tropes and ship our favorite characters together while enjoying afternoon tea! Basically everything sugar, spice and everything nice. Feel free to join us for the love of maiden heart! 💗
Personally I respect male cross-dressers and admire their courage, but due to complications with using the restroom please do not arrive to the meetup as a full fledged lolita or the like. Something subtle is okay, like a bow hair clip can be super cute. I realize the problem is not LGBTQ+, but more towards people taking advantage of the group to harass other people. As a warning, if you do anything fishy or violate my members or the general public during my meetup, I will report you to the police. For my members, if you were harmed in any way by other members of the group, don't be afraid to speak up. I will try to make the activities as safe and fun as possible, and feel free to give me any suggestions.
🌸 Strictly Shoujo is a safe, inclusive, and respectful space for gentle, artistic people. If your vibe doesn’t match, that’s okay—but this may not be the group for you. We reserve the right to ask people to leave to protect the community experience.
Lots of Love,
Sakura Sakura Miyoko (Risette is my French name)

The Origins
Risette/Sakura grew up in the suburbs where everyone else was wearing aesthetically bland but expensive Quiksilver, Vans, Converse shoes, and Jansport bags. What a boring world! She wants to make the world a better and happier place, starting with herself. That's why she has a passion for handicrafts, art, and baking, as they have healing effects on the craftsman.
Another thing is Sakura Sakura Miyoko in Taiwanese means "loafer", and this name amuses her. She dedicates her time to transforming negative labels in society, such as "otaku", "rice bug", "strawberry clan", and "sakura sakura miyoko", and casting them into a positive light. She's bringing these people together so no one would be ashamed for liking anime and feel welcomed.
She enjoys being a cultural guide, host, community builder, and herbalist. Her favorite Pokemon is the Alolan Vulpix, who is known for their hospitality and helping travelers find their way in their harsh habitat.

Hanami 🌸 View Peony Lotus!
Exit 2, TamSui MRT Station, No. 37號, Zhongzheng E Rd, Tamsui District, New Taipei City, 251, Taipei, Taipei, TW👉 Law of the Strictly Shoujo Article §76: According to the Chinese literature, "On the Love of Lotus", lotuses were described as "rising from silt and unsullied". We learn from the spirit of the lotus to be untainted by worldly affairs.
Lotus signify that midsummer, or Summer Solstice of the 24 Solar Terms is here! It is going to be super hot, and we are going to cool down at Shan Zu Ku in Sanzhi!
⚠️ Be aware this event starts at 10am! ⚠️
We will go see peony lotuses that are actually from Thailand in origin. They are located near MacKay Medical College in Sanzhi. It's a privately owned farm by local farmers who
generously open it for free tourism. You will get to see an acre full of lotuses! We might go hiking on 三生步道 or 麟山鼻步道. I will scout the area first before making this decision. Beware that the time of the event may change- I will post a message in the discussion if this happens.

Hanami 🌸 View Roses!
Yuanshan MRT station Exit 1, Yuanshan MRT, Taipei, TW👉 Law of the Strictly Shoujo Article §78: So said the fox to the little prince, because of the time he invested in watering, sheltering, and listening to his rose, it became completely unique in all the world.
Roses in Great Heat... to be honest they're not doing so well at the Rose Garden. However roses have a long flowering season, so we can see them most of the time throughout the year.
There is a secret garden, a playground apparatus there that you can climb, and a large maze to get lost in! After that we can see exotic plants in the greenhouse and if we are tired, we can rest and view an indoor lotus pond! ✨

Hanami 🌸 View Sunflowers!
Dazhi MRT station Exit1, 534-1 Bei-an Road Zhongshan, Taipei Taiwan台北市中山區北安路534之1號, Taipei, TW👉 Law of the Strictly Shoujo Article §79: Sunflowers bloom by the end of Summer... by the time they bloom is means it's the start of Autumn.
Sunflowers are said to bloom in August, but the flower guide told us it will be in full bloom by late September. Unfortunately it clashes with our other flower viewing events, and sunflower comes first before the other ones. We will just have to test our luck and see if we get a view of sunflowers with Yuanshan Hotel behind it! Not to mention there are pumpkin decoration there, and Taiwanese popsicle sticks! If we didn't have any luck, we can always come back to the same spot a month later. By then there should be plenty of sunflowers to see.
