You sing along before you realize it. You move when the beat drops. You know that a song can change a whole room. 💗
Strike a Chord is a community in Utrecht for people who feel that way: locals and expats, musicians and music lovers, men and women. Events are in English, and no experience is needed.
What we do
🎤 Listen: House concerts with artists based around Utrecht in an intimate setting. They play, and they tell the stories behind their songs and what the music means to them.
🎸 Play: Saturday jam sessions led by artists based around Utrecht, and karaoke. Bring your instrument or just your voice.
🍽️ Gather: Evenings around good food and music. Sometimes it’s a shared table where everyone brings a dish, an instrument and good energy. Sometimes it’s a themed night, with local food, live music and dancing. Always with conversation that goes deeper than small talk.

A place where art comes together in different ways. Where you’re welcome as you are. Where you’ll be seen and heard. Where the energy lifts you, the laughs come easily, and the people feel like friends by the end of the night. 🤍

We’ll sing throwback anthems, duets that shouldn’t work and somehow do, and choruses everyone shouts together. Every performance gets celebrated, off-key ones included. 😜
