About us
Welcome to the Strings Attached Marionette Theater Enthusiasts Guild. We are a community of people who share a fascination with the art of marionette performance and construction. Whether you have spent years mastering the intricate mechanics of puppet movement or you are just curious about how these characters come to life on the stage, you are welcome here. Our group is a space to share techniques, troubleshoot rigging challenges, and discuss the history and craft of traditional puppetry.
We meet regularly to swap stories, critique work-in-progress pieces, and connect with other local enthusiasts. There is no prerequisite experience required, just an interest in the medium and a willingness to learn from one another. We hope this group provides a supportive environment where we can keep this tactile, expressive art form thriving. If you have been looking for a place to talk shop about controllers, strings, and stagecraft, we look forward to meeting you.
