Encinitas Blvd Walk Audit

We will be conducting a walk audit of Encinitas Blvd. and the El Camino Real area. This is a busy commercial area for both pedestrians and motorists visiting and commuting to the surrounding businesses and residential neighborhoods.

We'll assess & measure walking surfaces, ADA elements, crosswalk signal durations, and other factors that contribute or detract from safe pedestrian access. Data and findings from the walk audits will be submitted to the City of Encinitas.

We'll divide into several groups to assess different routes along Encinitas Blvd and El Camino Real.

Materials to be provided:
📋 Audit materials (clipboards, audit forms, pens)
🦺 Safety vests for participants
📏 Measuring tapes and wheels to measure sidewalk and crosswalk distances
🚨 Radar gun to measure motorists' speed.

Please bring water, snacks, and sunscreen, and wear good walking shoes and a hat, as it may be warm, and we'll be out for a couple of hours in the mid-morning sun.
