The Itinerant Philosopher

An Aristotelian journey toward the good life.
What does it mean to live well?

As The Itinerant Philosopher, I bring Aristotle’s ethics to a variety of groups and communities, exploring how his ideas about virtue, character, practical wisdom, friendship, happiness, and human flourishing can still guide our lives today.

Flexible Session Formats
Sessions can be 1 or 2 hours, depending on your group’s needs.

1-hour session: An accessible introduction to the basics of Aristotle’s ethics—happiness (eudaimonia), virtue, the Golden Mean, character, and living well.

2-hour session: A deeper exploration of Aristotle’s ethics, including choice, practical wisdom (phronesis), moral responsibility, emotions, friendship, justice, and human flourishing.

There is no fee, no obligation, and no commitment. All that’s needed is a group of people with a genuine interest in exploring Aristotle’s philosophy and having a thoughtful conversation.

I’m happy to travel to your group’s meeting place, covering most areas of Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.
