AnarchoPals GraphicNovel Squad reads "THEIR BLOOD GOT MIXED" (Rojava revolution)

Details
Move over, INFJ Beef Club... There's a new Meetup group combining unrelated topics in Singapore: Anarchism + Graphic Novels + Vibin' out = ANARCHO-PALS GRAPHIC NOVEL SQUAD.
Let's begin. Janet Biehl, partner of the late and also great Murray Bookchin, recently traveled with a documentary film crew to ROJAVA in Northern Syria. Her goal: to witness firsthand the movement that has been working for years to put Bookchin's ideas — via the democratic confederalism articulated by now-imprisoned Kurdistan Workers Party leader Abdullah Öcalan — into practice. Now, she has channeled her experiences into graphic novel form with Their Blood Got Mixed: Revolutionary Rojava and the War on ISIS. Let's read it, and let's talk about it.
If you're keen to buy a copy, do, but I'll share the e-book (details to follow after you RSVP). Let's try to read the first 8 Sections (125 pages, but they're graphic novel pages) for the first session, and then finish the remainder later for our next session. Even if we fail, we shall land among the stars.
If you're curious to learn more about the Rojava Revolution first, the materials for our previous Rojava discussion might help get you started. Feel free to reach out with any questions or ideas.
