Welcome to Subtle Asian Life Columbus (SALC)! This group was ultimately created for people of any race to find a community within the Columbus metro area and celebrate Asian culture together.
SALC is a spin-off of the “Subtle Asian Traits” FB group where you can share anything related to our Asian roots, and is therefore inspired by similar groups like Subtle Asian NYC, Chicago, etc where you can feel more at ease by sharing with like-minded people close by you. So if you're Asian and looking to connect with other Asians nearby, this is the group for you! Feel free to post just about anything (if you just moved here and want to introduce yourself, had a question about the city, wanting to look for other people to do something with you, etc). Please feel free to invite your friends that may be interested as well!
We plan on having meetups for things like
- Food hangouts
- Online hangouts (Ex: Board game nights)
- Cultural events in Columbus, OH
- Sports hangouts such as pickleball, basketball, hiking, or more

We will be eating at a Japanese sushi/ramen restaurant! Check out the menu ahead of time if you like.
If you're coming late, we'll be inside the restaurant. We plan on going to Jeni's Ice Cream afterwards which will be right next to Kirin Noodle. If you can't find me, look for Hannah! She is the one hosting the event.
