Hike Moderate Pace on Moderate Trails, 5.5 miles. Meet at Bruno's, Northwestern and Germantown Aves. The hike leaves at 9:45 am. For Jan. 30: "Plan B" Hike/Walk, due to lingering snow & ice. Hike/walk along Forbidden Drive, with shelter from the wind, from Northwestern Ave to Valley Green Inn and back. Coffee/snack/restroom break at the Valley Green Inn. On the return, if hikers prefer, we can take a slight detour up to one of the higher trails, rather than Forbidden Drive. SPIKES/ICE CLEATS for your hiking shoes and TREKKING POLES are strongly recommended for safer traction. At the end of the hike, optional hot coffee/chocolate at Bruno's on Northwestern Ave. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Friday Frolic takes place most Frdays throughout the year, weather permitting.
