Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 50.8 miles. Meet at Horsham Township Library. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. For July 24: Popular and pretty ride created by Charlie B.: From Horhsam Library, menader to Plumsteadville, Bucks County for lunch at Mile 26 (either Wawa or the Salt Box next door), then ice cream at Chubby's Dairy Barn. The ice cream shop does not open until 12 noon. On the outbound, there are optional restroom/porta-potty stops if needed, at Mile 10. 12. and 16. Returning after lunch, we'll cycle past scenic Lake Galena in Peace Valley Park. Restroom facilities at Mile 36 and 45. Total elevation gain is 2278 ft, averaging 45 ft/mile. Most of the elevation is in the middle of the route. The final 14 miles are gentle.
GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties. Starting points will vary. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route. On-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk.
