Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 40 miles. Meet at Central Park in Doylestown - Wells Rd between Turk and Lower State/Court St.. The ride leaves at 9:30 am.
For October 9: Reprise of a very pretty route created by Dan Oz, tweeked at bit by Charlie B. "Central Park Doylestown to Lumberville - a KEEPER!" Very scenic loop through Bucks County, with our lunch/snack stop at the Lumberville Store at Mile 21.5. Total elevation 2448 ft, averaging 61 ft/mile. Most of the elevation is before the lunch stop....the return is more gentle.
GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route. On-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk. As long as we are enjoying outdoor exercise, and Mother Nature, in the company of friends, we'll have a memorable outing. Cue sheets will not be available.
