1. Learn and practice good Lean® Management techniques with guidance from our Lean® Forum founder, leader and expert, Dave Nave, Dave Nave & Associates. (He will give a short tutorial at the beginning to get you started).
2. Talk about your business and suggest a topic for the group to discuss that you have questions about or one that you would like a safe place to discuss and get feedback, ideas and much more.
3. Share your expertise on other participants issues and make contacts.
   We start at 11am and end right at noon Central because your time is valuable.

   (Interesting fact: BSC Lean® Success Forum™ has a 3+ year history of discussions on almost every business startup and growth question you can think of selected each month by that Forum’s attendees. At BSC's Lean Business Success Forum™ participants gather, build an agenda, and begin timed discussions. Conversations are directed and productive because the agenda is generated by those who show up.
The format is both easy to follow and effective. As the name suggests, it is all about being “Lean” (doing more with less) and uses the format of a “Forum” (issue-based open discussion). It is derived loosely from the Lean Coffee idea started in 2009 by Jim Benson and Jeremy Lightsmith in Seattle (https://leancoffee.org/) and ProductCampAustin (https://productcampaustin.org/). Attendees vote on what subjects to discuss at the meeting and lead the discussion.

Details: Whether you are an entrepreneur starting up a new venture, a department manager in a large company, or an executive, you are involved in getting work done. Many people ‘think’ they know how things are accomplished. However, everyone carries their personal process model in their head. The visual aspect is key: A visual process map can help everyone understand their work and how it fits into the organization, showing how each component depends on the others. If pictures are worth a thousand words, a well-defined process map could be worth a million dollars (or more) in decision-making power.

What does a visual process map do?
- Shows the order of activities, decisions, tests, and other complexities
- Encourages standard and consistent outcomes
- Captures knowledge in the process, not people’s heads
- Assists prediction of how components are affected by change

Why create a process map?
1. Enables everyone to see the process in the same way
2. See the big picture
3. Assist in compliance and auditing
4. Expose and trim unnecessary steps
5. Train new employees
6. Circulate best practices

During our session, we will explore two different mapping models. One is for the ‘big picture’ view of your company, and the other is for ‘training’ specific tasks.
