What we’re about
I would like to meetup with fellow teachers who want to stay motivated and focused during the summer break.
Personally, my main focuses will be lesson planning and staying/ getting in shape for the school year. Last year, my body went through a bit of a shock with how hard a school day is just physically (let alone mentally), and I want to make that transition easier this year.
I hope others will join me!
I am thinking that we can mostly meet online, and every so often we can also meet to get to know each other in person for meals or coffees.
Let's start by setting a meeting date for: Setting your summer goal(s) and overall implementation plan. Next we'll use B.J. Fogg's habit-building principles - each week you must name the smallest possible incremental action that would represent progress on your goal. (You're allowed to have bigger plans, but the smallest possible increment must be named.)
Then we'll check in each week to see if we fulfilled our commitments to ourselves. We must be real and troubleshoot the obstacles while also celebrating victories.
And hopefully, by the time the new school year starts, everyone will feel they had a productive summer and feel more ready to go back!
