Welcome to Sun City Sapphics—a sapphic-exclusive community for women, trans, and gender nonconforming folks in the Tampa Bay and St. Pete area. 🌊✨
We’re a branch of City Sapphics LLC, based in Georgia, and we’re excited to bring the same safe, fun, and inclusive community to Florida. 💌
Our goal is to create opportunities to connect, make friends, build community, and have fun through a variety of events, meetups, volunteer opportunities, and social gatherings.
### 📋 How Our Events Work
We use Meetup to share events and manage RSVPs, but RSVPing on Meetup does not always guarantee a spot.
Some events—especially volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, and limited-capacity or special events—may require an additional Google Form or external registration. When this is required, the event description will include the appropriate link and instructions.
For those events:
Meetup RSVP = you're interested/planning to attend
External registration = your spot is confirmed
We also ask that members only RSVP when they realistically plan to attend and cancel as soon as they know they can't make it. This helps us manage limited spots, waitlists, supplies, volunteers, and event planning fairly.
Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may be tracked, particularly for events with limited capacity. We understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances happen, so we're focused on repeated patterns rather than occasional situations.
If an event is full, please join the waitlist rather than holding or transferring someone else's spot.
We want Sun City Sapphics to be a community where everyone has a fair opportunity to participate—and where organizers, hosts, volunteers, and venues can plan with accurate numbers. 💙

Description:
Join us for a relaxing morning exploring the beauty of the state park by water! Choose between a single kayak, tandem kayak, or stand-up paddleboard and enjoy a self-guided experience through scenic waterways.
Whether you're an experienced paddler or trying it for the first time, this is a great opportunity to connect with nature, meet new people, and enjoy an active weekend outdoors.
Equipment Options (reserved individually):
🚣 Single Kayak – 1 person
🚣♀️ Tandem Kayak – 2 people
🏄 Stand-Up Paddle Board – 1 person
Important Notes:- Experience runs from 9:00–11:00 AM.
- Participants are responsible for reserving their own equipment.
- Wear comfortable clothes that can get wet, and bring water, sunscreen, and a hat.
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for check-in.
