MOTIVATED: Barnhardt Trail in the Mazatzal Mountains

This hike begins at Barnhardt Canyon (4200ft), following a creek. The ascent is gradual, with well-designed switchbacks and stunning views of the surrounding area all the way up to the waterfalls (5750ft, 3 miles). From here, the climb continues for another mile until we reach the Sandy Saddle trail at 6000'.
Hiker's choice: we can continue on until the trail intersects with the Arizona Trail at 6.2 miles.
