Trailhead: Tortilla Flat

Description: Great hike location beyond Tortilla Flats along the Apache Trail Road (Hwy 88). We begin our hike with some stone steps leading up to a ridgeline where we enjoy a 360-degree vista of the Superstition Wilderness area. After hiking along the ridge line we walk down into a valley floor and pass corrals, water tanks, and other remnants of the historic Tortilla Ranch and its headquarters. A fallen windmill lies near our half-way point. We will have lunch along the Tortilla Creek, water may be present. You will enjoy the beauty and the long views of this hike.
