The Sun Lakes Hiking Club is headed to Page, AZ
Dates: March 16 – 19, 2026
Page is also known as the Center of Adventure! Why choose Page? It is the site of the Glen Canyon Dam and National Recreation Area, Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend, home of slot canyons too numerous to mention, (but most famously, Antelope Canyon, Buckskin Gulch), Lake Powell Museum, abundant Native American culture, and much, much more! This area offers a wide range of outdoor activities for non-hikers, including golf, boating, fishing, and off-roading. Hiking for our group will include planned hikes at all three activity levels and will offer interest to all. The Special Hike Committee is actively making plans for the 3 levels of hikes we’ll be able to choose from each day.
We will be staying at the Sleep Inn, 673 Scenic View Rd, Page, AZ 86040 for 3 nights. We have reserved a block of 35 rooms for our group. Please reserve your own room at the hotel. To reserve your room, you may use this link:

This will take you to our website to your group that I have prepared, where you can view and select the room types you prefer or you may call this number: 928-645-2020.
When you book your room, please specify the Sun Lakes Hiking Club for your reservation to get our negotiated price. The rate will be $144.00 per night plus tax. We have confirmed that the room rate is good for up to 4 people in the rooms with 2 queen beds.
Our hotel rooms will include a complimentary buffet breakfast daily.
Please make your reservations by February 1, 2026. The block of rooms is on a first come-first served basis. Therefore, it would be best to reserve your rooms as soon possible.
Our meals will include sub sandwiches from a local shop for Tuesday and Wednesday at noon. Each participant will need to supply their own noon lunch on Monday. We have dinner meals arranged for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
What do you need to do to participate in the special hike?

  1. Sign up for the special hike on Meetup. If you are bringing a guest, please indicate this when you sign up.
  2. Contact the hotel to reserve your room.
  3. Send in your deposit for the trip. Information about how to pay is included below.
    The final registration date for the hike is February 1, 2026. We need to know of your interest by this time, as we need to calculate the final payment for the trip.
    Send your $100 per person deposit for associated fees to participate in the trip. This payment is due by February 1, 2026. The final payment will be determined when we know how many people are attending. You can pay via one of these options:

    A second payment will be announced after the final registration date. At that time, we will be able to calculate the amount after we know how many people will join the group on the trip.
