Holbert Trail is a steady and scenic climb to Dobbins Lookout. This trail is challenging at first. Inclines will definitely get your heart rate going. It is worth it get to the Lookout point. Good views of the city. Numerous petroglyphs can be seen on the valley floor on the way to the climb portion of the hike.

Directions: type "Holbert Trail" into Google maps or: take I-10 to Baseline Rd. exit then head West on Baseline until South Central Ave. Take a left on South Central towards S. Mountain and follow that into "Phoenix South Mountain Park". Once through the gate, take your first left to head towards the back of the large parking lot next to the temporary construction fence. There are porta potties at the lot.
