Robber's Roost is a hidden gem in the Superstition Mountains. This hike is often done at the Motivated level, but Moderate level hikers have expressed an interest in doing this iconic hike in the Superstitions at a slower more deliberate pace, so we are offering it as a Moderate Plus level hike this season.

The hike begins up the iconic Peralta trail with a twist! Once we reach the Fremont saddle, we will take a break to enjoy the breath taking view of Weaver’s Needle, then climb through nearby hoodoos and travel high above the Peralta Trail towards Robber's Roost, then descend into this acclaimed secret hideout in the Superstition Mountains.

Please Note: There will be some rock scrambling and a tight entrance into Robber’s Roost. Hiking shoes with good grip, poles and hiking gloves all highly recommended. And please assess your hiking skills to determine if this is the right hike for you due to the AEG of 1,715 feet.

Round Trip Driving Distance: 85 Miles, Driver’s Fee: $7.00 + $2.00 Dirt Road
