Description:
This hike begins in the recently constructed Adero Canyon TH. We start out on the Promenade trail and take the Upper Sonoran trail to its end at the Preserve's boundary. We then hike the Lower Sonoran trail. The Lower Sonoran trail loops back around to the Promenade trail and the TH. There is a slight detour to a viewpoint.
Trail condition is immaculate by most standards and is typical of trails in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. On a clear day you will enjoy watching the famous Fountain Hills high water fountain which is active daily on the top of the hour for fifteen minutes. In addition we'll see all the surrounding wilderness areas, Phoenix area cities, and nearby neighborhoods.
