From the 19th Ave. trailhead in South Mountain Park, we begin a steep ascent of the Ma-Ha-Tuak range on the Hau Pal trail continuing on to connect to the Alta trail. At this junction, we descend Alta Trail and hike to the Crosscut trail and up the second ridgeline of the Hau Pal loop. We will hike back to the trailhead with a final steep descent on our original steep ascent.

AEG: ~1500 ft.
