Driver's fee = $8 + share of $10 entry fee.
Hike Description:
Starts out with easy/flat 2 miles on loose gravel. Then rocky long elevation to beautiful look-out. The next 2 miles are rocky ups/downs.
Poles are optional/newer hikers will want poles. Sunny/limited shade, bring sun protection and plenty of water. There are facilities at trailhead.

Turn right onto Riggs Rd.
Turn left onto Alma School
202 West to 101 North
Exit 51 AZ Loop 202 EAST
Exit 13, AZ 87/ Country Club Drive. Turn left on Country Club
In 12 miles turn left onto East Shea Blvd
At first light, turn right onto N Saguaro Blvd
In 4 miles turn right onto Fountain Hills Blvd
In 4.2 miles turn left onto McDowell Mountain Park Drive. Pay park fee of $10 per car.
Go past the visitor center, take first right onto Shallmo
Go about 3 miles to Trailhead Staging Area
