MELLOW - Gilbert Riparian Preserve
Details
***NOTE - Meet-up time is 6.30am for a 6.45am departure***
This is a 3 mile walk with several bird watching stops. Lots of water fowl, birds, flowers and shaded areas.
This will be more of a walk than a hike. Bring your binoculars and enjoy a walk through the Gilbert Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch.
At 7:30 we will meet with Sue Black (a volunteer from the Desert Rivers Audubon Organization). She will take us on a one hour informational tour to show us and talk to us about the birds that we encounter in the park. After that we will continue together on our own for a walk through the rest of the park.
The walk will be about 3 miles with no elevation change. Smooth pathways throughout. No poles needed. Bring water, binoculars (optional) and comfortable walking shoes or boots.
Driver's fee: $3
Hike Leaders: Don Lewis (303-888-7990)
