Hieroglyphics Trail is an in/out, up/down trail into Gold canyon in the Superstition Wilderness. It is an uphill grade that leads you to a boulder-filled canyon with occasional pools of water, and wildflowers in the spring before arriving at the petroglyphs. These are believed to have been created by the Hohokam Indians as long as 1500 years ago.
The trail is very rocky, so poles are recommended.
