Brooker Creek Preserve 4.5 Miles

Details
Moving this event to May 1 in hopes for drier trails.
A local favorite, Brooker Creek Preserve is 8700 acres large with boardwalks, hiking trails, and an educational center. As sections of trail are underwater during the rainy season, this is the best time to explore the well-marked paths. Keep your eye out for ospreys and otters!
We will hike Wilderness, Blackwater Cutoff, and Pine Needle Path trails.
Be prepared to hike through mud and water as the trails are built at a natural grade in keeping with the habitat. We will be walking in mud and puddles. These trails WILL be wet. Bring an extra pair of shoes for the ride home! As the water is very black, a hiking pole is recommended.
Dogs are not permitted in the preserve.
After the hike, those interested can join me at Keystone Korner!
Please note: your image must be visible on your Meetup profile photo to attend this event.
We hike as a group. All participants are expected to be willing and able to complete the hike in its entirety.
