KAYAK/SUP: Paddle E.G. Simmons Park - Tampa Bay - Manaphin Bay w/Lunch

NOTICE: The distance of this paddle is 6+ miles and is suitable for intermediate and experienced paddlers.

E.G. Simmons Park: Developed from 258 acres of native mangrove lined shores and intertwined waterways, E.G. Simmons Park includes 200 acres of mangrove swamp that is preserved as a bird and wildlife sanctuary.

ARRIVAL: Please arrive no later than 8:30 am for a launch between 8:45 - 9:00 am!

DON'T FORGET: PFD and whistle (both mandatory), water, bug spray, sunscreen, bilge pump, paddle float, paddle leash, spray skirt, etc.

ONLY members allowed on this paddle. No guests, pets, +1's or spouses..

UPON ARRIVAL: Pease sign in on the "Participant Liability Waiver" BEFORE getting on the water (unless you have purchased SP&P decals.)

SAFETY BRIEFING: Approximately 5 minutes before launch time we will hold a MANDATORY pre-paddle guidelines/safety briefing. Please do not get into your kayaks until AFTER the safety briefing is over.

POST PADDLE LUNCH: Join us for lunch at YBOR GRILL, a very fine, authentic Cuban Restaurant located just 2 miles from our launch.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Since the demand to attend our paddle outings is unusually high, we request that if your plans change and you won't be attending after all, that you remove your name from the attendee list as soon as possible. If you do not remove yourself from the list WITHIN 24 HOURS of the event, you will be flagged as a "NO SHOW". If you accumulate Three "NO SHOWS"s you will be removed from the group.

FIRST TIMERS: SunCoast Pedal & Paddle (SP&P) decals are available for purchase prior to the event. The cost is $3 (please help out with exact change). BY displaying the SP&P decal on your kayak, you won't have to sign the liability waiver on EACH trip you attend (instead you will sign an annual waiver when you purchase the decals)
