We are excited to announce our second 5th-Sunday-of-the-Month Assembly in North San Diego County! A very progressive church in Carlsbad is welcoming Sunday Assembly into its LGBTQ+ loving space and we are honored that they are letting Sunday Assembly use their 10 AM service slot.
We are delighted to invite back a previous speaker, Tom Horvath, who has updated his talk with new study data. Please stay late for the snacks and caffeine, and feel free to bring food to share. There's a lovely patio out back to mingle on afterwards. SASD will provide some lunch options as well.
What the Addiction Treatment Industry Gets Wrong (and You Can Get Right)
What is an addictive problem? How does it improve or resolve? Tom Horvath, clinical psychologist specializing in addictive problems, will provide answers to those questions based on the scientific literature -- and probably not the answers you have heard from the addiction treatment industry or the media -- and share ideas you can use to address your own addictive behaviors (yes, you have them!) and support others experiencing addictive problems.
