Details
IMPORTANT: Please read the Ground Rules before you attend.
- The group is limited to 8 people, including the facilitator. Once you've signed-up, you may have to join the meeting room early to get a spot. If you can't get into the room, it's likely that we are already at capacity.
- Doors close 2 minutes past starting time and open 5 minutes before starting time. We take this very seriously.
- Please note that this is not a place to practice english.
What is it like to be you right now?
- The Sunflower Circles are a place to authentically speak, and be heard for what it's like to be us right now.
- We share what's going on in our lives in a safe place, without judgement, blame, or hierarchy and step forward with clarity into better, fuller lives.
- We commit to speaking from "I", growing in our authenticity, and leaving space to be met by conscious community, without needing be fixed or saved by others.
We start with 2 minutes of silence and a round of check-ins: Your name, what's up for you, and how you feel right now.
From there, the group goes where we want it to go. If there's a common theme around everyone's check-ins, then that's where we begin. The core tenet of the circle is to be with exactly what's here.
These groups are a space for us to to connect, experiment with who we are, and walk away with insight and support. Additionally, this is also a space for us to speak out about our lived experiences of coloniality, liberation, racialisation, joy, and hope as people of the global majority.
