Autumn Arriving: Outdoor Socially Distanced Qigong Class
Details
Autumnal Equinox this week: welcome the change of seasons. Join us at 9:00 AM at Murphy Park in Sunnyvale for a friendly and easy movement practice on Saturday. Your RSVP is much appreciated. Thank you so much.
For a practice in favorable outdoor weather conditions: Dress in layers, wear comfortable shoes, bring something to sit on (yoga mat, light folding chair -- this is totally optional, but a great option in case you need to sit at any time during practice), and have a hat and sunglasses handy for the sun. We do a standing practice on the grass, and we will finish with a short meditation (also standing, and there is an option to sit). Then enjoy a little tea and socializing a bit afterward.
Beginners and seasoned players are welcome.
We begin with centering. Then, we do some simple warm-up moves to get us ready to enter the Qigong flow state with some fun sets of movements. The moves can be done either standing or sitting, and there is wheelchair access. We finish with guided meditation and visualization circle (5 min) and sometimes have healing sound of singing bowls and vocalization (like humming) for sensing inner vibration.
This weekly event is offered as a service to the community. You can show your appreciation by making a love offering on the day ($5 to $10 USD cash suggested). Your Donations support the Healer Within Foundation (click here to make a donation: https://www.healerwithinfoundation.org/donate), an organization dedicated to increasing health in wellness in communities all over the country through practice groups like this one and training events for leaders of groups.
Enjoy the Sunnyvale Farmer's Market afterwards and make it a healthful day.
We look forward to being in the flow with you!
