Small Group Balboa Island and Peninsula to West Jetty Walk

Park at your own risk. You may want to consider parking over by Pavilion’s rather than in front of Sapori or former US Bank as a private patrol company has ramped up their surveillance of the area.
Be a considerate hiker by not signing up unless you are certain you will be able to attend or, show up without a confirmed reservation. There is often a wait list, cancelling at the last minute prevents folks from attending.
If the event is full, you can add yourself to the waitlist. When spots open up, waitlisted folks will be automatically confirmed as “Going” in the order in which they joined the waitlist and be notified via MeetUp message.
Profile photo: Anyone interested in joining this event must have a profile photo showing their entire face.

About the walk:
This is a flat advanced beginner, roughly 5.3 mile walk that is completed in 2 hours.
From our starting point (former US Bank), we will walk over to Balboa island, down Marine to the waterfront and then over to the Balboa Island ferry. We will take the ferry ($2.00 each way) over to the Peninsula, walk along the E Oceanfront boardwalk as far as we can, continue onto Channel Rd. to our midway resting point, the Jetty. Folks will have time to relax at the Park or the Wedge.
**We will have a restroom break on the Peninsula immediately following the ferry ride from the island.
