Walter's Camp to Fisher's Landing 3 day canoeing down the Colorado Rver.
Trip Cost : $150.00 for Boats Food and Camping fees.
Travel cost and car shuttle varies as to your carpool.

ITINERARY:
Day 1: Leave OC via carpools. arrive about 5 pm and spend the night at Walter's Camp.
Day 2: Launch canoes at Walter's Camp on the next morning and spend the day going with the flow to Picacho State Recreation Area where we will spend the night. Picacho has some great hiking to old gold mines and an old ghost town. Great fishing throughout the river (you will need a license to fish).
Day 3: Spend the day canoeing and then camp overnight at another location further downriver in Picacho State Recreation Area.
Day 4: Canoe down to Fishers Landing; estimated time of arrival at 1pm.

Weather should be nice but be prepared (bring layers and rain gear).

This is a private, cost-sharing trip. Estimated cost total is $150.00.

NOTE: YOU WILL NEED 1-GALLON OF WATER PER DAY PER PERSON. PLAN ON BRINGING SUITABLE CONTAINERS. 1 OR 2-GALLON PLASTIC JUGS WORK BEST FOR STORAGE IN THE BOATS. NO GLASS PLEASE.

Snacks – you will need to bring our own snacks (nothing in “group” coolers!) for your personal consumption during the day. We recommend trail mix, dry fruit, candy, beef stick, jerky.

CLOTHING: General - Weather is always an unknown factor – we recommend “2-season” clothing, i.e., quick-drying shorts, t-shirts and long pants/sweatshirt.

Water sandals or shoes, Hiking shoes or boots
Swimsuit or water shorts, Hat (sun protection)
Gloves (for paddling), Rain Gear.

PERSONAL ITEMS Sunglasses, DEET (Bug Repellant), Sun Screen Lotion, chapstick, Hand Lotion, Towel, Toiletries & personal med’s (biodegradable soap & shampoo – it’s river bathing!!)

GEAR: Tent, Rain fly and Ground cloth, Sleeping Bag, Pillow, Flashlight, Camp chair

Eating Utensils, Plate, Bowl, Drinking Mug,

Personal Water Bottle (in-canoe use), Dry Bag (for clothes, etc)
