2¾-mile Hike, Oak Canyon Nature Ctr., Anaheim Hills

Details
Join us for a "nature bath" hike at the Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim Hills. Although the length of the hike will be a modest 2½ to 2¾ miles, the 240 ft. elevation gain is enough to provide a workout.
Park by the nature center and meet us by the center's restrooms. We will start walking at 9:35 AM.
Dogs are not allowed into the nature center.
OAK CANYON NATURE CENTER: This is a 58-acre natural park and a year-round stream meanders through it. Consisting of three adjoining canyons, four miles of hiking trails traverse one of the few remaining areas of oak woodland and coastal sage scrub in our region. The park has some very scenic areas and grounds for special events such as weddings, birthday parties, conferences, etc.
ABOUT THE HIKE: The length will be between 2.5 and 3 miles and a good portion will be on trails more suited to experienced hikers. We hike on the Roadrunner Ridge, Bluebird Loop, Wren Way, Main Road, Stream, and Tranquility trails. Because there are tripping hazards on these trails, a hiking pole is recommended. (We will not walk around the adjacent Walnut Canyon Reservoir.)
DIRECTIONS: Set you GPS to 6700 E. Walnut Canyon Road, Anaheim, 92807. From the 91 freeway, exit Imperial Highway and head south, then turn left on to Nohl Ranch Road, then left on to Walnut Canyon Road (by the Anaheim Hills Golf Course).
