ABOUT THE RIDE: We take the Upper and Lower Salt Creek Trail from the Pooch Park Parking at Golden Lantern to Salt Creek Beach. This is a twelve mile route on a dedicated bike trail with scenic overlook through the Salt Creek open space, the Waldorf Astoria Golf Course and Monarch Bay/Salt Creek Beach. This bike trail is a curving roller coaster with approximately 500 feet of elevation loss and gain. At the midpoint of the ride, we will have a rest stop at Young's Beach Shack featuring a variety of breakfast/lunch items and picnic tables overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Additional note: Your event hosts will be riding e-bikes, although conventional road or mountain bikes are welcome also.
