Sunset Hike on the San Clemente Beach Trail

ABOUT THE HIKE: We meetup for the hike on the patio next to the lawn area on the beach side of the San Clemente Library. Our hike will take us down Del Mar to the ocean and a side walk out to the end of the San Clemente pier continuing south on the beach trail to Calafia Beach. We return the same route. The hike is 4 plus miles mostly flat on sidewalks and dirt trails with 200 feet of elevation gain/loss. The hike is dog friendly. The hike is timed to see a beautiful sunset over the ocean.

POST HIKE CELEBRATION: We return to Del Mar with a variety of restaurants and wine bars. Take your pick of Happy Hour offerings.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: The San Clemente Art Faire sets up on the lawn areas surrounding the San Clemente Library and Community Center at 242 Avenida Del Mar. Restrooms available in the Community Center. Parking available behind the library and surrounding streets. Meetup on the patio next to the Community Center. Restrooms are available in the Community Center.
