Bommer Meadow, Turtle Ridge and Shady Canyon Loop
Details
ABOUT THE HIKE:
Let's get an early start and hike through beautiful Bommer Meadow and Turtle Ridge. Join Meetup friends for a fun, morning hike on this beautifully maintained and scenic trail in Irvine. This looped trail provides for beautiful views that is accessible to both advanced beginner and experienced hikers alike. The loop offers a little bit of everything. It begins on the Bommer Meadows trail, then onto the Nature Loop trail, West Fork Trail before heading up onto the Turtle Ridge trail, followed by the Community trail, and finally we end up on the Shady Canyon Bikeway. There are beautiful views at the top of Turtle Ridge including stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. This route is exposed with little shade so be sure to bring a hat, water and hiking poles if you use them. I plan to take a slow but steady pace up to the ridge.
ADDITIONAL HIKE NOTES: Fewer than 5 hikers will cancel this hike. Dogs are not allowed on this trail.
