About us

Golden hour, sunset chasers — chasing the light across Oregon & Washington.

A weekly meetup for scenic backroads, quiet viewpoints, and good company. Each week we drive a new route through the Columbia River Gorge and beyond, arriving at one final destination before sunset — though the drive itself is half the point; we're here to enjoy the journey, not just the destination. Once we're parked — chairs out, cameras down — we open with a 10-minute guided meditation, connecting with the land and the quiet presence of the place, an invitation to explore your full senses as the light shifts. Then it's open: shoot photos, talk, or just sit.
No pace, no goal, just presence. No experience necessary.

Why join?
Because most weeks slip by without a single unhurried sunset. Because the Gorge is twenty minutes from your door and most people never stop to actually look at it. Because a drive with somewhere to arrive — and no reason to rush there — is a rare kind of rest.
This is a place to unplug for an evening, breathe outside your usual routine, and be around people who value the same slow, quiet moments you do. Some weeks you'll come for the photography. Some weeks for the drive itself. Some weeks just to sit somewhere beautiful with people who won't fill the silence unless you want them to. You'll leave knowing a new corner of the Gorge, and probably a few new people worth knowing too.
