Sunshine Social Hike 5/4: Bowen House 😁☀️
Let’s enjoy a “beautiful and gentle hike…(with) rocky sections and occasional inclines” to the historic Bowen House! We will be hiking the Bowen House via Camino de Oeste trail. This 2.3 miler is an out and back and should take us an hour and a half with pictures and time for a few breaks (especially at the house itself).
The trailhead is only accessible through a one-way dirt road, so we will meet up near the Camino de Oeste trailhead and carpool the last quarter mile to the small parking lot. We will meet at 901 n Camino de Oeste at 7:00am and take a few cars at 7:10 to the dozen spots at the trailhead. Introductions will start at 7:15 and we will start hiking at 7:30.
Please note the earlier start time! All social hikes will start at 7:30 in May, with intros starting at 7:15
Please bring water and sunscreen, hiking poles may be helpful with some rocky and sandy parts. The weather forecast right now calls for low 65 degrees at the start and low 70 degrees by the time we finish, really excellent hiking conditions but starting to warm up a bit.
Let’s check out the Bisbee Breakfast Club on Ajo after the hike, we will get a count and head over, it’s 15 minutes from the trailhead.
