Sunshine Social Sunset Hike 4/2: Linda Vista Loop 😁☀️🌅
Let’s enjoy our third ever social sunset hike! We will be hiking the Linda Vista Loop.
This will be an approximately 2.7 mile hike with around 400 feet of elevation gain and will take us a little over an hour and 45 minutes to complete. The way out is a rocky incline (with horse droppings according to recent reviews, just a heads up) and a bit of a “social hike plus” as far as terrain difficulty. If we start after intros at 5:30, we should be at the halfway point for our group picture at 6:30pm as the sun is 10-15 minutes from setting. Please bring headlamps for the hike back, returning to the car around 7:30
Please bring water and a headlamp, hiking poles may be useful in the rocky parts. This trail has some incline for a social hike, and it is mostly exposed.
The weather forecast right now calls for 80 degrees at the start and 74 by the time we finish, quite warm! I recommend shorts. This is not a dog friendly trail, unfortunately.
Parking available at the trailhead parking lot and along the side streets nearby if full.
Let’s get dinner afterwards! I’m thinking Ciao Down Pizza nearby, local and able to take a dozen or more of us on their patio 🍕
For a social hike, this is a little more challenging due to the incline and the darkness after sunset. Again, please remember to bring a headlamp 🔦
We will be taking pictures and posting them to our group Facebook page. Thank you for your consent to post by joining our hike.
Hope to see you out there 😎
