About us
It’s really f*cking hard to be a woman. We're expected to be married with kids and a house by 30, yet also rich, successful "girl bosses" who are selfless, skinny, sexy, saintlike and...well, you get the picture. It's all unrealistic and meaningless, and it can wreak havoc upon our lives and sense of self-worth.
This is a feminist-based space for people who identify as women to be real, have fun, and support each other in liberating ourselves from the chains of society's expectations, people pleasing, and perfectionism...so we can rediscover ourselves and live a life that is truly right for us, whatever that may look like.
We'll provide resources, support each other, remind each other we're not alone and deserve so much more, and advocate for other women like us...all while having a blast with dinners and other fun stuff!
We'll have in-person meetups in Los Angeles and Orange County, but also virtual ones for those based elsewhere so ladies worldwide are welcome to join!
This group is for you if:
- You have ever felt "behind" or "unsuccessful" in life because of society's expectations. Maybe you're over 30 and unmarried, don't like the way you look, feel directionless, or are struggling with a mental health issue. Maybe your sexual preferences aren't "normal" or you don't identify with your biological sex. Whatever it is, in some way you have felt like you don't belong or don't live up to expectations, and it's been hard. We get it, and we are here to support you.
This group isn't for you if:
- You like to compete / put down other women because of jealousy or you're judgmental. Jealousy is a totally normal emotion and unavoidable in a world where all women are pitted against each other. This is a group where you can feel free to admit when you feel that way, and we can work through it and support you! But this is not a group that will allow using these emotions to hurt others. We are ultimately here to uplift, accept, and support, not lecture or judge.
