A trip organised by Walks by Water. A fabulous 4 day walking trip in Lancashire that takes in Cumbria and Yorkshire too!

Often overlooked as it sits between the Yorkshire Moors and the Lake District this is a most beautiful area in its own right.

You will need to book 3 nights accommodation in Morecambe.... Saturday to Tuesday.

We will be mostly taking the train but you may decide to drive.

Likely itinerary :

Saturday late afternoon

3.45pm for 4pm Eric Morecambe statue
4 mile walk along the wonderful beaches to Heysham

Sunday

Meet train station at 9.55am

10.09am buses to Beetham for walk along river and coast to Beetham.
Train to Grange over Sands for circular walk possibly via Cartmel.

Trains / bus back to Morecambe as from 4.24pm, 5.20pm or at 6.22pm

Monday

Private coach to Ingleton Falls an amazing 4.5 miles attraction along a river that has 6 waterfalls followed by optional 5 mile Lancaster canal walk back to Morecambe starting from Carnforth

I will pay by credit card so everyone needs give me £10 in cash

Tuesday

Private coach to River Lune for a most stunning and challenging 6 mile walk to Hornby. Lunch in Hornby and then drop off mid afternoon in Lancaster for the train back to London

A £40 deposit would need to be paid in next few weeks in respect of the coach hire - actual cost per person £50.

Meetup fee £40 per person payable in early May next year.
