Reigate Hill Gatton Park Millennium Stones
Reigate Station (Main ticket office entrance)

Join us for one of the most picturesque walks in Surrey
Highlights
Colley Hill - We get from the top, amazing views across the surrey countryside
Gatton Park - Nestling serenely into the North Downs, the lush pastures, mighty trees and sparkling lake designed by Lancelot "Capability" Brown
Reigate Fort - Built in 1898 and part of a 72 mile defence line to protect England from possible invasion
The B17 Bomber crash memorial site
The Millennium stones - A series of 10 stones created in 1999 to commemorate the year 2000
We walk along the North Downs Way and also part of the Pilgrims way through meadows and woodland, and up a hill. The hike has a number of twists and turns and goes into dense woodlands.
Distance: Approx 9-10 miles (16 km)
Pace: Brisk
Terrain: Several ascents and descents throughout the hike (including one long one of about 15 mins) but manageable for fit hikers
Starting point: Reigate Station
End point: Reigate Station
Toilets
Facilities are very limited at Reigate station so plan to go on the train or before you come for the hike if possible
Meeting Point
Meeting point is on the side of the station where the main ticket office is, NOT where Homebase is. If you are on the Homebase side take the tunnel under the station to the other side
Leave for hike at: 10.30 am
Finish: 16.00 (Could be earlier, depends on speed of group)
