As the title of this hike suggests, this is a very varied hike incorporating a number of interesting sights
HIGHLIGHTS
Pass the colourful Silent Pool, The quaint Gin Distillery & Picturesque Vineyards
Walk along the delightful River Wey
Visit the charming St Martha's Church-On-The -Hill
Hike through picturesque woodlands & the delightful Newlands Corner
Traverse Merrow & Pewley Downs
Pass the impressive grounds of Guildford castle
Join us to explore picturesque Guildford countryside. The hike will feature several ascents and undulating terrain. We'll make our way to the banks of the River Wey, pass one of the "Alice in Wonderland Sculptures" (Lewis Carroll used to stay in Guildford).
We then join a rising path and head towards The Church of St Martha (from the top of the hill on a clear day you can see 6 counties). Then follow a route that takes us to a vineyard, a magical silent pool and a gin distillery and then through woodlands back to Guildford with a short visit to Guildford castle

Train: The train from London Waterloo is a good one to catch (arrive a little earlier to give yourself time for toilet break etc..)
