Fetcham Springs Archaeological Project Open Day
The Surrey County Archaeology Unit (SCAU) is running a five-year project to investigate an ancient site at Fetcham Springs, which is just outside Leatherhead. The project has received a significant National Lottery grant to do this.
SCAU is running an open day on Saturday 4th July.

Information from SCAU's poster: come along to see archaeologists at work and learn how they
investigate and interpret the past. Visitors will have the chance to:

• View active excavation areas
• Speak with archaeologists about their discoveries
• Learn how artefacts are uncovered and recorded
• Gain insight into local history and heritage
• Watch a flint knapping demonstration
• Watch how our ancient ancestors made a fire without matches

The site is just off Mill Lane in Fetcham.
