TALK: “Clandon and the Onslows” by Martin Ellis (Surrey National Trust)
Details
The Onslow family bought Clandon Park in 1641. Three members of the Onslow family became Speakers in the House of Commons; more recently, Sir Cranley Onslow was chair of the 1922 Committee for 18 years. Sadly Clandon Park House, an early 18th-century grade I listed Palladian mansion, was gutted by fire in 2015. Come along and learn more.
