Hello everyone, here's my first go at leading a walk! Hopefully we won't get too lost 😜
A fairly flat, 14 mile route with one steep hill.
Starting at Fleet Train Station, we'll head via Fleet Pond to Caesar's Camp. After a lunch stop after the climb up the hill, the route will take us on a loop back via Ewshot and the Basingstoke Canal for a refreshment stop at one of the best pubs in Fleet and then head back to the station via the Pond again.
- Train from Guildford (09:24) via Woking (09:46) arrives at 10:04, assuming no rail replacement busses! Returns depart towards Woking from Fleet at xx:02 and xx:32.
- For parking: if you're lucky there is limited on-street parking on the section of Elvetham Road behind the Station Pub, or slightly further away at the end of Wellington Avenue. There is also loads of parking available at the station (£4.90 for the day).
- I will also no doubt ask the age old question of "Pub?" at the end of the walk. I will most likely head to the Heron on the Lake which is 10 mins from the station, feel free to join.
We've provided an automated estimate of the end time and this will be affected by many factors - please only use as a guide. The description above may also have specific notes on ending details.
