This year is 154 years of British Columbia joining Canada. The totem pole in Windsor great park was carved by Chief Mungo Martin who lived in Alert Bay in British Columbia. On the totem pole are a thunderbird, orca and raven which are symbols such as the orca symbolises loyalty and family.
We walk up through the long walk and past the copper horse. We will walk up to Savill Gardens and then up to Canada Avenue and the totem pole.
Please bring a packed lunch and appropriate clothing as it may be wet.
We will stop for tea and cake at Savill gardens. There is also a possible pub stop at the end with a good choice of pubs in Windsor.
There are lots of car parks around Windsor and also free parking on the edge of the park on Sheet street it's about a 20 minute walk into town.
We've provided an automated estimate of the end time and this will be affected by many factors - please only use as a guide. The description above may also have specific notes on ending details.
